Try not to be over ambitious

If there’s anything 2020 taught us is that our way of life can absolutely change at the drop of a dime!

I spent pre-corona 2020 trying to hustle and get all of my goals checked off which is great but once the pandemic hit, I realized how burnt out I was. When we’re trying to get as many goals done as possible we have to stop and ask ourselves what’s really important and why we feel the need to try to get every goal done as possible.

I’d figure out your top 5 goals going into 2021, this way you’re focus is on a few goals and not many. Then, you want to make these goals as detailed as possible. Want to save a certain amount of money in 2021, then write out how much money you need to save daily, weekly, and monthly!

Create a timeline

It’s going to be so important to once you go over specifics of your goal to create a timeline. Try to frame each goal around a deadline but don’t worry. Do not beat yourself up if you don’t meet your goals at the correct deadline. We are all HUMAN.

A timeline for your goals will just better hold you accountable for attaining them.

Become cautious of your thoughts

Ever heard of having the mindset of a champion? The same applies to achieving New Year goals. With all of the negative aspects of life that can cloud our thoughts, having a positive mindset is vital!

Manifestation is literally some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten. I’ll envision myself reaching my goals and sure enough, along with the work I put in, I reach them.

Maintain your health

Even if losing weight or eating healthier isn’t apart of your goals, being aware of what you put into your body and making sure you stay active will go hand in hand with positive thinking . Now we do not want to obsess over our health, but implementing small changes like drinking more water and walking/jogging daily will do wonders to your health.

Ask for help

This one is always hard for me because I want to do everything myself but humans need interaction and we crave support. If you feel comfortable with it, share some of your goals with your friends and family. They will be your side line cheerleaders which will be instrumental in you slaying your goals.

You may even need to ask someone else for help to reach your goals. For instance, if I want to become a fitness coach, it’d be smart for me to reach out to the classmate I know that now does personal training. I’ve gotten so many hidden gems and tips by sliding in the DMs of my colleagues.

The people we ask for help in reaching our goals can keep us grounded and focused.

How do you plan to slay your goals in 2021?
